Meet Charde, who assists geico.com customers

Are you interested in working in customer service at GEICO? As a customer service representative, you receive industry-leading training from the fastest-growing auto insurance company and become a licensed insurance professional. 

You then have the opportunity to delight our policyholders every day by handling their policy needs and educating them about insurance. It’s a rewarding career with plenty of opportunity for advancement! But don’t take my word for it; let’s hear from someone who’s actually working in GEICO customer service.

ChardeCharde has been with GEICO more than two years, and has been promoted three times. She is currently an Internet service representative 2, assisting customers online, handling their questions and concerns effectively and efficiently. I asked Charde a few questions to understand how she’s become so successful in her career. 

What are your thoughts on GEICO’s training?

The GEICO training helped out a great deal. My success is definitely a reflection of the training I’ve received. 

What’s your favorite thing about working in GEICO’s customer service department?

You never know what to expect! One customer may have a request that is fairly simple; the next may have one concern that requires more time and dedication. But they all need us, and that feels great to know that they rely on us. And we kind of hold their cares in our hands.

What do you see yourself doing next at GEICO?

GEICO has so many opportunities for advancement, so I hope to move into supervision and management.

What keeps you at GEICO?

The atmosphere and economic stability. Everyone is so friendly and upbeat. You have so many positive influences around you, it’s hard to have a bad day. With furloughs and layoffs happening all around, it’s good to know that GEICO is such a stable company.
