Each month, we share an image from GEICO’s past and invite you to exercise your caption-writing skills.
Like any other company, GEICO strives to hire the best and the brightest. But it’s nearly impossible to find entry-level employees who already know all about insurance – after all, who grows up dreaming of one day having a career in the insurance industry? Nobody I’ve met in my nearly three decades at GEICO; that’s who.
That being the case, training and continuing education are critical to our success. GEICO offers its employees a wide variety of educational opportunities; some required and many more optional. Many of our locations make additional learning opportunities convenient by bringing professors from nearby colleges in to our offices to teach courses. And if the education you want isn’t available in-house, you can get tuition reimbursement for job-related classes you take outside of our walls.
Many of our employees take advantage of these opportunities. And based on this photo, it appears that the self-development imperative here used to apply to some four-legged employees as well. This little guy looks like he’s visiting the library we have here at the corporate headquarters, ready to sink his teeth into one of those management texts. What sort of career do you suppose he’s looking to build?
