Memory of the Month: Celebrate good times; come on!

Each month, we share an image from GEICO’s past and invite you to exercise your caption-writing skills.

We’ve had a LOT to celebrate here at GEICO lately. In February, our Long Island regional center had its 40th birthday. The Gecko published his book of wry observations and advice, You’re Only Human, in March. Later that month, we announced plans to open a new sales and service facility in Indianapolis, and our Tucson office celebrated its 10th anniversary. And more recently, we passed 12 million policies on our books and had a companywide party to celebrate.

And yet, at no time this year have I seen anyone rocking the kinds of looks you see in this photo from a long-ago celebration of … well, who knows what? Or maybe it was just another day at the office, which was full of eye-patched and corn-cob-piped sailors and … whatever that person in the robe is.

Tell us what you think in the comments. As for me, I think that, while we do like to have some fun here at GEICO when we can, we just don’t party like we used to. And that may be a good thing.
