The Gecko’s journey across America comes full circle

How time flies when you’re saving people money! It seems like just yesterday that our ambitious Gecko set out to visit every nook and cranny of our fine country to bring savings to the masses. Now, just over one year later, that epic journey has come to a close.

After a cartoony sojourn in the southwest, a valiant attempt at ventriloquism, and an accidental arrival at a clothing-optional beach, the quest ends right where it started: our nation’s capital. You may recall that the Gecko’s journey began with a leisurely stroll through the tall grass near a GEICO parking lot; it ends with the plucky traveler delivering a grandiose speech to an empty Congressional chamber. Little does he realize that it’s actually being broadcast to the entire city.

So, how has the Gecko changed on his journey? If his soliloquy is any indication, savings are, and always will be, foremost in his mind. But there are some hints of a grander vision: pudding for all, political parties that actually are parties, with cake and presents. No matter what the Gecko does next, you can bet he’ll be inclined to save people money and make them happy. Meanwhile, here’s where his journey ends. You’ve come a long way, Gecko!
