As the manager of GEICO’s National College Recruiting team, I am pleased to recognize recipients of the 2012 GEICO Achievement Awards. These 54 exceptional college students stood out among hundreds of applicants in demonstrating the merits and character consistent with success.
The GEICO Achievement Awards have been given to undergraduate students in recognition of academic excellence and a demonstration of a true dedication to their campuses and surrounding communities for more than 20 years. To be eligible, students must be sophomores or juniors majoring in business, math or computer science, and must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Our selection committee also requires each applicant to submit a resume and transcript, a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, and an essay describing why they deserve the $1,000 award.
It is exciting to know that this program helps some very talented and selfless students realize their academic ambitions. If you know a high-achieving college sophomore or junior majoring in business, math or computer science, please encourage them to apply! The 2013 program application window opens during the upcoming fall semester!
