When you think about federal employees, is their sense of humor one of the first things that comes to mind? If not, maybe the contestants of the 2012 Funniest Fed Competition, sponsored by GEICO, can change that.

The standup comedy contest, which kicked off in May, has progressed through the preliminary and semifinal stages, and the final show is set for Friday, June 22, at 8 p.m. in the historic Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C. Tig Notaro (The Sarah Silverman Program, Conan, Jimmy Fallon) will be hosting the finale, in which the audience and a panel of judges will pick the 2012 winners.
