You’ve seen them on TV: car accident “victims” with fake neck braces trying to win a settlement they don’t deserve. But this is more than TV fiction – fender-bender fraud happens in real life, too.

If you get into an accident — big or small — there are things you can do to minimize the chance of anyone taking advantage of the situation. To learn how to avoid auto-accident schemers, GEICO Now chatted with Steven Rutzebeck, director of GEICO’s Special Investigations Unit. Visit geiconow.com to read Steve’s expert tips.

Geico will denied your injuries, fake or not fake. they got my medical records(MRI & X-rays) everything expleined by a certified physician which proof permanents injuries in my neck and lower back and Geico still say”there are no permanent injuries” well maybe they can explain that to the Judge.

FRAUD OR OTHERWISE….I HAD A PERSON BACK INTO MY REAR BUMPER WITH NO DAMAGE TO MY CAR..HIS FAULT BECAUSE HE WAS 400 LBS AND IN A CORVETTE INCHES FROM THE GROUND AND HE COULD NOT TURN AROUND TO LOOK BACK IF HE WANTED TO….BACKED INTO ME AND HAD DAMAGE BECAUSE HE HAD A FIBERGLASS CORVETTE.

BOTTOM LINE, GEICO PUTS IT ON MY DRIVING RECORD AS A “COLLISION” AND IMMEDIATELY RAISES MY RATES.  I DUMPED THEM. THEY ARE A COMPANY THAT AS SOON AS YOU HAVE A CLAIM (WHICH I DID NOT) THEY INCREASE YOUR RATE IMMEDIATELY.
