  7. Crystal J. says:

Bacon makes everything better…. Well, not ice cream, but still….

I vote we bring in a soccer mom mascot! It’ll reach all the ‘family-oriented’ consumers that worry about insurance rates!

  8. Jason says:

Crystal J. I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Bacon makes everything, even ice cream better!

  9. Crystal J. says:

Jason, we could always bring in the Mythbusters…. =)

  10. rick says:

This has to be the most annoying commercial ever.  Lose the PIG!!!!  It does not grab my attention, I immediately change the channel or hit mute

  11. Cindy says:

    love the PIG

  12. Victoria says:

I  love the pig! It stops me dead in my tracks…love how his little piggy hooves twitch as he zips by…I want one for my car…I want to be the piggy’s car pool mom, it’s just too much and it makes my day every single time I see it.  What’s next?

  13. Ida says:

My 1yr old grandaughter loves the pig!!! She even weeeeeeees along with him and giggles so hard.

  14. Not Sure says:

This squealing pig commercial is the best example yet of how geico’s advertising strategy targets the lowest common denominator. Seriously, who is stupid enough to consider purchasing financial products from a company that uses such advertising tactics? This is what they think of you, people! Don’t you even realize what an insult it is to your intelligence? It’s unfortunate that any of you actually claim to like this idiotic character. It is definitely the most annoying commercial I have ever seen.

  15. whoknew says:

the commericals are a little bit annoying but they make the phones ring and as i sales person, i appreciate it!  keep up the good work!        weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
    weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee    weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  16. sewingbunny says:

Please ditch the pig, he’s so annoying!

  17. texasgrandma says:

Lose the pig, cannot stand him, very annoying, like the Geiko, especially the one in Texas, he’s adorable and he makes me smile and laugh everytime. Sorry sales person but I bet  you still get plenty of call without the PIG!!!!

  18. John Barrientos says:

This piggy commercial is just awkward and not achieving its intended purpose.  Every time it comes out I just dont care to see it.  It has become very annoying.

  19. Nick K says:

PLEASE!!! For the Love of GOD!!! STOP PLAYING THAT STUPID PIG COMMERCIAL!!!!!!!
Its honestly the MOST annoying commercial I’ve Ever seen, I’m just happy to know I’m not the only one who turns the channel the split second it comes on.

  20. Rodney Moore says:

I am going to Allstate because of the PIG!

  21. Jeanne says:

LOVE the pig! Ditch the foreign gekko! Maxwell 4-ever!

  22. jeanne says:

I do not understand what the pig is saying……o=plz decipher for me

  23. Vic says:

OK I officially hate Geico now and it’s thanks to that obnoxious pig. My god that is the dumbest commercial character I have ever been forced to endure. If i’m not in the same room I will run to the remote just so I can skip it.

I understand you need to stand out and make an impression on people when you’re spending millions on a television commercial but WHY DO YOU WANT TO ANNOY PEOPLE?!?!

When Geico finally stopped running the original add featuring this squealing pig I was relieved. Now there is a new one, joy.

Commercials aren’t bad enough when they are not relevant to me but to be subjected to inane and annoying advertising makes me seriously question not only the advertising industry as a whole but the intellectual future of humanity. (see Idiocracy, 2006)

While i’m at it the rhetorical questions were fairly annoying as well but at least they weren’t a one trick pony. Actually, theres your next character Geico. The One Trick Pony.

I’m gonna go make a bacon sandwich.

  24. LOVE GEICO says:

Stop being a hater vic cause you didnt come up with the idea with the pig first.

  25. bone thug says:

state farm rules ! i would never get your insurance because of that stupid, annoying, pig!!!!!!!!!!

  26. Julio says:

If companies like Geico and Progressive actually listened to the feedback, then the irrelevant pig and the moronic Flo commercials would already be gone.  The truth is, they will continue despite massive amounts of negative input from their target audience.  And people will refuse to purchase their products based on asinine ad campaigns.

  27. R says:

Please, Geico, Please Please Please stop stupid commercials.  The pig needs to go.

  28. t says:

whenever i hear weeeee, i rush to find my remote to either mute or change the channel.  as an insurance salesman, i now do not get any quotes for prospects from geico

  29. LOVE GEICO says:

man alot of haters on this forum. stupid commercials attract commercils. PEOPLE KNOW THIS

  30. CharlesAFerg says:

No more pic commercials. Everyone I have ever been in any room with when those commercials air agree with me when I say that those d@mn commercials make me seriously resent your company. I always change the channel or turn off the TV. Enough is enough. It doesn’t work, and people are sick of it. I feel like I speak for the majority when I say, STOP IT!

  31. Maurice says:

hmm…  phones still ringing in the office, I guess Vic, Julio and Charles just dont like the Pig, but with all thier powers of observation of the Human psyche, they failed to notice they keep coming back to a GEICO Blog.   :)

    Love ya :P

  32. cheryl says:

DO NOT listen to anyone who has put Maxwell down! He is the best and the
person who “made him” is a genius! We ALL badly need a good laugh and I, for one,
have giggled like a kid again each time Maxwell comes down the zip line!
    xxxxx

  33. cathy says:

I can’t stand the pig commercials. Especially the one flying thru the air on pure adrenaline.
I have tried to understand the relationship between the pig and Geico’s insurance but I just don’t get it. It just does not register with me.

  34. John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt says:

The pig commercials are very annoying.

  35. Gracie ROO says:

I loved the mice commerical when they were rowing!! I think we should stick that out. I was just sure a 3 blind mice commerical was upon us. I love that>>>ROW>>>ROW>>>>ROW. I had to look at the commerical twice to get the concept, but once I got it….it was uber cute!! #MICE RULE #EPIC ADVENTURE # What will he teach them next?!?!?

  36. Pingrich says:

If the aim of this commercial is barely name recognition, then it works, but for al of the wrong reasons. It is annoyhing, humorless, and stupid, KILL THE PIG!

  37. JG says:

Wow, some of you are a trip. While I will agree sometimes the pig commerical can be a tad bit annoying, its really not that bad. I don’t meant to insult, but some of you have no idea what marketing is about. You like the pig or you hate the pig, either way your talking about and thinking about GEICO. Thank you. Now if you are one of those who goes to another company or bad mouths Geico because of a simple little commercial, I suggest the real problem might be one of a psychological nature. I would suggest getting evaluated by a trained professional. Besides I am sure any one who gets into such an uproar over a commercial, more than likely acts just as silly behind the wheel. Which in that case probably is not the type of customer Geico wants to insure. Maybe you are upset because they cancelled you already due to your bad driving habits. But hey thats my own opinion. Geico keep up the great commercials, I love them!

  38. SW says:

Back in the day a caveman would eat a gecko. How about a running scenario where the Caveman tries to catch the Gecko but the Gecko keeps outwitting him.

  39. r schier says:

I’d give anything to take a chain saw to that stupid pig. And you’d really have to wonder how Geico thinks there going to attract more customers by irritating the sh*t out of them.  I know enough about Marketing to know that it’s quite stupid to actually pay big bucks that is likely going to turn off about 75% of potential customers, and that’s likely conservative. Stick to the lizard…..

  40. Jean says:

I love the pig!   WEEEEEEEEEEE all the way home!

  41. Angi says:

well my senses have yet again been assaulted by another “advertisement” in the disguise of a squalling pig on some adrennaline junkie escapade. the gecko is at least cute (tho his original accent and pleas of “stop calling me” have since been, sadly, lost) and you can with reasonable use of intelligence see where the gecko and geico association started. but a pig? how does this relate, even remotely, to geico? even the ill fated cavemen had the tie in of “so easy a caveman could do it”. the pig is a bomb, and its spreading its swine flu epidemic into our homes. our only defense is a mad dash scramble for the remote and pray you find the mute button in time. the only hope for salvation is the most recent commercial, currently ending in a freeze frame, ends as such: the pig face plants on the asphalt, the next scene has him on a platter with an apple in his mouth cooked to a golden brown. serve him on toast, geico.

  42. Liz says:

Definitely keep Maxwell, he makes you laugh and puts a smile on your face.  Very creative.  Can’t wait to see what he gets into next.  Makes your commerical memorable and makes people talk about Geico…for or against you will talk about Maxwell and Geico…

  43. Kyle says:

Please stop the Pig commercials. They are way to loud and make me want to break something every time i hear it. I cannot get to the mute button fast enough. These commercials have made me promise myself I will never buy anything from Geico ever. Please make it stop!

  44. whitmore_baggs says:

Just make the pig be quiet please. Many Geico ads are so disruptive to watching television that it makes being entertained somewhat of a chore. they should use this is their slogan, “GEICO, making insuring your car excruciating for less of a discount than other cor insurers.”

  45. Janelle says:

My husband and I love Maxwell. Please give him his snort back as he comes down the zip line.

  46. Haruhi Suzamiya says:

    I disagree with Maurice

  47. Pig Hater says:

HATE THE PIG! Stop torturing us with that crap!!!

  48. Maxwell The Geico Pig says:

I think Maxwell is waaay better than any other of the characters on the commercial. And if someone is really refusing to buy insurance from the company because of this, get a grip! Deal with it and act mature. There are way worse things going on in the world than boycotting an insurance because you can’t have the commercials “your way” Oh wa! Maxwell forever!!!!!

  49. DZstar says:

I like pork belly over Polenta with a touch of maple syrup,Weeeee weeee Goooo Maxwell!!!!!

  50. Peculiar says:

The reason why the pig is so annoying is because they MADE him that way!! It gets everyone talking and you remember which company has the pig (and the geko).  I LOVE the pig and the geko; it’s pure genius and the marketing people working at Geico is well worth the money they are paying them.  The rest of you are irritated by the commercials but Geico is raking it in…..good for them!!

    Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
