The GEICO Blog is now an arcade game

April Fools’ Day is a day that tolerates practical jokes and general foolishness. And it gives my team a chance to do something extra fun on geico.com.

But not every idea makes the cut. Like letting people play the old arcade game Asteroids on the GEICO homepage. Ok, so maybe flying around and destroying everything on the site would be bad for business. But the blog is all about having fun and getting to know us, so there’s no reason we can’t do it here!

What did we actually do on geico.com for April 1st? Go take a look.

At least we didn’t try to fool you this year with something like the CavemanCoaster.

    I hacked the game like Mr. T!! If you hold the spacebar down and click the left mouse key over and over you will get unlimited points via shooting the message box that pops up once you left click the mouse. Give it a try :)

    There’s a code that gives you a 30x multiplier. After you hit “Go,” press the following keys: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, enter. The ship will turn into a cat to let you know that it worked. Good luck, meow!
