June marks the beginning of National Safety Month. Sponsored by the National Safety Council (NSC), each week in June represents a different safety issue.
This June, teen driving and cell phone use while driving are both highlighted as major safety issues (but you probably already knew that from reading our blog post on the 2010 Lifesaver’s Safety Conference).
Below is the 2010 National Safety Month schedule:
June 7 – 13 Teen Driving Safety
June 14 – 20 Preventing Overexertion at Work and at Home
June 21 – 27 Dangers of Cell Phone Use While Driving
June 28 – 30 Summer Safety
So before you officially begin enjoying summer, check out the National Safety Council’s website and refresh your brain on some safety knowledge. The NCS has made fact sheets, posters and even games available so that you can easily pass them onto your friends, family, co-workers, etc. Visit http://nsc.org for more information.
